Meet Joshua

At Green Leaf, Joshua works with kids, teens and adults. In his work with children and teens, he really enjoys connecting with them and building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. Joshua's experiences at elite academic institutions give him first hand knowledge of the pressures facing kids today. He works with both the child and their family to address issues around emotional and behavioral challenges, depression, anxiety, social skill development, and issues at school or home. Joshua creates a non-judgemental, safe space for teens to address their gender identity and sexual orientation.

In his work with adults, Joshua helps his clients understand and manage strong emotions and move through life transitions. He has a specialty focus working with young adults, in particular. Joshua provides his clients with parenting support as well as helping them address depression, anxiety, worry, trauma and other life challenges. Joshua's therapeutic approach draws heavily from the core principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). He is also skilled at implementing Motivational Interviewing techniques into his work.

I am passionate about the mental health field because I enjoy seeing my clients take small steps of improvement, eventually resulting in big change. I’m hoping to make an impact on the lives of all individuals I come in contact with. I truly love the work that I do. - Joshua
