Meet Katie

Katie has been working with children, families and adults for over 10 years. Katie works with children and teens to address behavioral challenges. She treats depression and anxiety, and in particular, PTSD and OCD in both children and adults. Katie has a specialty focus treating the effects of trauma in children. She is also particularly skilled at helping clients of all ages develop healthy emotion regulation strategies, reduce self-harm behaviors, and improve their self-concept and self-efficacy. Katie’s work with individuals and families includes interventions from CBT, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), strengths-based approaches, mindfulness, and expressive art and play. Katie also has a specialty focus helping young adults develop independence and confidence for the transition into adulthood.

Katie has a specialty focus on working with maternal health. In particular, she treats issues related to perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Katie provides her clients with a safe and understanding environment to navigate the challenges of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood. She is sensitive to the complex emotional experiences that accompany this transition. Katie is committed to empowering new mothers to feel confident and giving them the tools they need to thrive!

My goal is to create a warm and nonjudgemental atmosphere where my clients feel safe and comfortable expressing themselves. I meet clients where they are at with understanding, compassion, and respect in order to support the exploration of desired changes to empower the growth and healing process. I believe each therapeutic relationship is unique and focus on individual strengths to reach clients' full potential. - Katie
