CA License LMFT #113209
Michelle works with children, teens, and their families with a speciality focus in early childhood. She works with kids and families to address issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, ADHD, and struggles at school. Michelle works with her clients to build self-esteem, emotion regulation skills, and social skills. She incorporates the whole family into the therapy process. Michelle helps families develop the relationships between children and their parents and she teaches parents healthy ways to respond to their child's big emotions. She connects with the important people in a child's life to bridge the gaps between therapy, home, and school. Michelle practices evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Zones of Regulation, and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She also incorporates play therapy and expressive arts into her work with children.
I value creating a safe and warm environment for clients to show up authentically. I like to incorporate creative interventions to be able to meet each client where they are. I enjoy helping families strengthen their relationships to be able to communicate effectively and to create positive interactions with each other. I also love helping kids build their confidence and self-esteem to be able to reach their full potential - Michelle
